Dr. Lindsey

hi I’m dr. Lindsay let me tell you about
00:10
our excision of a turkey job procedure
00:11
this is a procedure we do almost
00:13
exclusively in men with large flaps of
00:17
skin going down the neck I’ve been doing
00:21
faceless it’s the mid-1990s I’ve done
00:23
about 4,000 and somewhere around there
00:26
early 2000s I had a series of women come
00:29
in with older husbands who just had that
00:31
typical man to the skin they went down
00:34
their neck and these guys would say to
00:36
me in there a way that you can just cut
00:37
that skin out and I said to them yeah
00:39
nobody does it that way people do I
00:41
either a big facelift which often times
00:43
makes men look effeminate or they do it
00:47
z-plasty he goes back and forth and
00:49
leaves what I think is an unsightly scar
00:51
and nobody discuss out that in that
00:53
waddle but after talking to a couple of
00:58
guys and tellin nobody doesn’t that way
01:00
and we tried out I did a couple for free
01:02
and they turned out really good and they
01:05
did a few of them for a limited price
01:08
and they turned out well and then I’ve
01:11
done 270 more of those and essentially
01:15
what we do is we bring the patient in
01:18
and isolate the flap of skin the waddle
01:23
so to speak draw a small ellipse around
01:25
that and then without any sedation just
01:28
put a little numbing medicine in that
01:30
and then we cut out that wattle
01:33
conservative skins excision
01:35
so the muscles that hold the neck
01:37
together right together actually looking
01:38
right at them and then sew the skin
01:40
together in a tension-free fashion and
01:42
you wear a head wrap for one night we’ve
01:44
done a variety of patients that you the
01:49
potential customer has almost certainly
01:50
seen a few of ours on TV and we’ve done
01:54
people from all walks of life there’s
01:56
very little risk with this procedure the
01:57
only risk is the scar going in the neck
02:00
and by large other than two or three
02:03
patients out of that 270 the scar has
02:06
faded quite nicely
02:10
this is an ideal operation for an older
02:14
man where the flap of skin doesn’t want
02:16
a bigger procedure and as we went to
02:18
tolerate an incision on going up the
02:19
neck so if this interests you please
02:22
give us a call look at you and we have a
02:24
number of before and after pictures and
02:26
we can determine if you’re a candidate
02:27
thank you
